Last night I played my first gig at the Rainbow here in town, sharing the bill with Bear Claps, Mud Lake and Mishra's Dream. The setlist was:

The gig went until after one in the morning due to the bar being double-booked. Folks seemed to enjoy it anyhow.

34. Solve a Rubik's Cube.

Today I turned 29 and three quarters.

31. See a giraffe.

I went to the Artis Zoo in Amsterdam yesterday. They had three giraffes, plus a score of other wildlife like gorillas, lions, tigers and... raccoons. I suppose they are foreign there.

30. Learn to play backgammon.

Andrea and I had a picnic in the Champ de Mars park by the Eiffel Tower and I whipped out the backgammon board. It's pretty uncomplicated once you get the hang of it. I lost, but not that embarrassingly. Thanks to Andrea for being a great teacher!
